Denford On The Move PDF Print E-mail

After almost 60 years at its Birds Royd location, Denford Limited  - a business which has built a world-wide reputation for quality and technological excellence – is to move in the new year to a new purpose-designed 18,500 sq ft facility on the opposite side of the River Calder, at Armytage Road, Brighouse.

The new premises will incorporate the company’s manufacturing facilities, including 3,200 sq ft of office space, as well as a dedicated showroom, demonstration and training facility.

...Over the years, Denford has firmly established itself as a provider of "total solutions" for education and has striven to bring together the very best CAD/CAM and CNC manufacturing solutions for Design & Technology in schools, colleges and universities around the world.  Denford is one of the few businesses operating within the educational sector, which can truly claim to be a British Manufacturing Company.  With a history of design and manufacture, Denford was one of the very first companies to develop a Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) lathe specifically for education and training.

At Denford the belief is that a ‘hands-on’ approach to cross-curricular activities lies at the heart of the teaching of Design & Technology and Engineering.  In line with this, Denford are Proud Founders and Sponsors of a number of educational projects, including the global “F1 in Schools Technology Challenge” and “4x4 in Schools” - the northern offices of which will be based at the new Denford premises.  These projects are aimed at stimulating students’ interest in, and understanding of design and manufacture, and clearly demonstrate Denford’s dedication and financial commitment to encouraging and promoting student selection and enjoyment of Design & Technology and Engineering courses.
Andrew Denford, Chief Executive of Denford Limited, and Founder and Chairman of F1 in Schools says: “The time is right to make a move.  Our business model has changed dramatically over the last few years, and our brand new facilities will allow us to improve our manufacturing efficiency and give us the opportunity to welcome our customers from home and abroad to a modern, purpose-built venue.”

Looking to the future, Denford will continue to focus on the international educational market and to invest in the company’s manufacturing facilities, with innovation and new product development remaining key strategies for the company.   As sponsors of both F1 in Schools and 4x4 in Schools, Denford will continue to act as a manufacturing centre for schools involved in both of these challenges.
