A safe alternative to chemical PCB etching PDF Print E-mail

Printed Circuit Boards created on our CNC router
Printed Circuit Boards created on our CNC router
Educational establishments around the world are making the move away from chemical etching due to health and safety requirements.

Get rid of the chemicals needed for PCB etching

We have been working hard to create a safe, quick and easy alternative to traditional PCB manufacture by chemical or acid erosion techniques.
Our latest software and hardware solution makes Printed Circuit Board prototyping quick, safe and easy.

Toolpath offset around the PCB tracksSoftware: Our software will create a toolpath around the tracks and pads and will even create the pad drilling operations automatically.
The PCB isolation routing software (included free with VRMilling v5) takes any industry standard Gerber file (.gb) and quickly calculates a path around the tracks and offers various manual and automatic drilling features.

Floating head - perfect for PCB engraving
Floating head - perfect for PCB engraving
Hardware: The new floating head and motor option for our CNC Routers makes it possible to engrave and drill large sheets easily.
As the head "floats" over the Printed Circuit Board, it keeps the cuts at an even depth, even if the sheet is uneven / warped.
The spindle can be removed quickly in order to fit different cutters or drills with the minimum of fuss (see this video link)
