We have tried out our software and machines running Windows Vista and Windows 7. Read on to see what we found...
Denford Software with Vista32 bit and Windows 732 bit tests
* USB Machine Control will NOT work on 64-bit versions of Vista or Windows 7*
Please note that some users are reporting blank 3D windows in programs such as VR Milling and QuickCAM . This is a problem with the new OS and the graphics card drivers as the same problem appears in other software that uses OpenGL. We recommend updating to the very latest drivers from the graphics card manufacturers website.
NB, These are straightforward tests carried out by us on a PC which had Windows Vista 32bit Business edition (Final release) and Windows 7 Professional, pre-installed from new. The results shown are based on our findings and may not be representative of results obtained using other hardware, versions of Denford software, version of Vista/Windows 7 or future Vista/Windows 7 updates / patches. NB - The XP Compatability wizard was NOT used in Windows 7 tests
